ProgDVB Pro 6.43.2 - Can´t make it work without audio/video sync problem. Tried all combinations of filters/renderers/muxers, no help, SD or HD channels get unsync after few minutes.

demuxers - microsoft, elecard, cyberlink
video - cyberlink, elecard, ffdshow/microsoft DTV, cyberlink H.264, coreavc
audio - ac3filter, ffdshow, cyberlink
renderers - EVR, custom EVR, VMR9/directsound, waveout, speakers

- I deleted empgdmx.ax
- disabled audio processor
- changed soundcard (Audigy 2, Realtek HD)
- changed drivers
- reinstalled ProgDVB

CoreAVC 2.0, Cyberlink PDVD10, ac3filter 1.63b, ffdshow 3488

I run older ProgDVB 4.84 without problems, also DVBDream, ALTDVB, same combinations, all is OK. Only in ProgDVB 6.43 I have this Issue. Also any content I play in any player is OK for me.

Is it x32 version of ProgDVB?

Yes, x86 - all apps and codecs.

(Now I tried x64 version, and it works fine - no sync issue. Used Microsoft DTV decoders and demuxer.)

Here´s little finding:

If I disable timeshift buffer, sync issue is almost gone, it does not increase with time, keeps at few milliseconds.

Another finding:

If I run debug, I get error message:
It does not appear in normal mode. I got sound even thought. Advice on this problem, anyone? Thx.

try change other audio renderer or/and disable AP.
And audio codec.

Done everything. Only and only time I don´t have sync issue is if I use Elecard Audio Decoder (for MPEG and AC3) !

What´s wrong? What should I do? Unregister and delete Elecard filters?

At first, you must setup without this error message.

Got it. This settings gives me no sync issue and no error:

demuxer - microsoft
video - cyberlink
renderer - custom EVR
audio - elecard
renderer - directsound
AP - off

Sync issue back, if I change audio codec (to whatever) or audio renderer (to whatever).

What should I do to use my set of filters? (Cyberlink+AC3 or MS DTV+AC3?). Is Progdvb using only and only filters I set up in chain?

If you have this message then audio codec not like work with ProgDVB. For example CyberAudio work only in PowerDVD.

This message appears with AP enabled.

Audio sync issue is present with every other audio codec than Elecard - ac3filter, ffdshow, cyberlink. Those codecs work - I can see control panel for every.

Sync issue has also something to do with timeshift, if I set it low (10MB) sync issue is almost gone or appears later, if I have it high (100/200MB) it appears very soon.

Different only in demux and AP. If you disable AP and select elecard demex then should be total same like in old version.

So, I switched to Elecard demuxer - cool, no delay, no dropped frames UNTIL I change channel, then it´s all much much worse then with MS demuxer:




I have 2 soundcards (3 with HDMI on VGA) Audigy 2 and RealtekHD. Could this lead to such a behaviour in ProgDVB 6.xx ? (No, I removed and tried other soundcard, still the same)

Just to be sure, I installed clean fresh system Win7/x64. Just drivers and ProgDVB, later codecs:

- Catalyst 10.6, Skystar 2 (4.6.0.0, WDM), Skystar HD2 (1.1.1.502, BDA), Audigy2 (2.18.0017, WDM), DirectX (June 2010)
- ProgDVB 6.44 Pro
- CoreAVC 2.0, Cyberlink (PDVD10), ffdshow 3488, ac3filter 1.63b

It is the same. Sync issue, audio distortion. No matter what combo I use, sooner or later it appears.

- audio renderer waveout: sync issue starts from the beginning (with every combo), after two minutes it´s unwatchable
- microsoft demuxer: (sync issue after a while)
- elecard demuxer: can´t use cyberlink decoders nor CoreAVC (picture distortion, no audio - after changing channel)
- EVR custom: some channels (HD) are blocky and/or jerky
- CoreAVC: many frames dropped, audio sync problem (every demuxer)

Best combo is:
- elecard demuxer
- microsoft DTV for MPEG2 and H264
- microsoft DTV for MPEG audio
- AC3Filter for AC3
- EVR and directsound renderer

With this combo it all works for about 20mins, then audio breaks suddenly, video starts jerking:




I remind it is the fresh Win7 installation, with no other software/codec etc., no mess. All other players, even old ProgDVB 4.84 works great with every combo.

- how to make ProgDVB working at least with one combination?
- is there someone with working ProgDVB on Win7/x64?
