I´m using Win7-64, Technisat Sky2HD and ProgDVB 6.45.03
Liked to record from "Das Erste HD" automatically two events:
see http://bec.ath.cx/2010.08.06%2010.36-002.jpg
Whats happening?
ProgDVD starts, but tells about a crash before... (which hasnt happened!) and waits
One our later a second instande of ProgDVB did the same.
No recording at all...
I switched back to "using Windows-Taskplaner" to avoid Problems with current services.
Two or three versions ago that worked even in service-mode.
Sometimes (!) (I cant verify when!) one of the both titles was recorded - even the "crash" -alert apperas.
And at last:
You see I've marked Mo-Fr.
Boring to see that Sa, Su same shit happens?!
Any ideas?
Tia

manual recording is ok.

Re: timed recording fails
#5????
where to do?!
one of the prior version did the job.
Even if afterwards the "Exit" was not executed, both streams are recorded.
But in actual version there is ALWAYS the "crashed"-report when starting- and waiting for action.
And with the actual version I got NO recording so far.
Prior versions did the job ;-(

Re: timed recording fails
#6Do you also have any errors on closing ProgDVB?
Or do you have any trouble with sound controls, like mute or volume?

Re: timed recording fails
#7nope, no unusual problems.
When I later want to close the two tasks:
No difference between "ok" "cancel" or closing Window.
Always the same: DVBProg is coming up with a WHITE screen and no station selected.
Closing that window will proper be handled.
And (I have 2 timerevents !) same game for the next event.
Having closed all windows starting ProgDVB: no problem, does exactly with "Das Erste HD" - and running.
No troubles with sound etc. you asked for.
Playing manually all things are fine...
Only recording...

#8Manual station switching with no issues at all?
Then there's a high chance for some timing trouble on scheduled controls...

Re: timed recording fails
#9just meanwhile I've installed the latest version of ProgDVB.
Unfortunately an weekend..
Furtheron I checked my Scheduler-Entries in Windows. Found 7 tasks (instead the 2 awaited!) and deleted them all.
Starting ProgDVB afteron I found in "scheduler" still the tow awaited entries. Killed them, closed ProgDVB.
Checking Scheduler again: Clean.
ok, so setting the ProgDVB-scheduler again to weekly, Mo-Fr, 14:04-1500 and 15:04-1600
Nothing happend for rcording.
But I again got 2 white ProgDVB-screens because of a prior crash (which never happened!)
For sure no recording, only 2 Tasks of ProgDVB.
One of them is closable, the other needs a kill via the taskmanager.
Which forces again the prompt "prior crash, hwo to handle"... "start normal"!
Working.
Closing ProgDVB and waitig for next recording date. Same game as before...
ok, I'm running Win7-Ultimate-64 and got a license for the Win32-version.
It would be possible to change the Technisat DBS S2-HD-card against an Hauppauge Nova HD-S2 - but I'm afraid that wouldnt work because of the generated individual key...
Any ideas further on?
All other things (manual switching, running the program) are fine.
Except....
The Diseq of the used card didnt work properly, but it seemed to be a question of the card-firmware.
I'm using Eutelsat and Astra...
Both channel-searchs are generating the same TV-list. Even some TV-station from Eutelsat, but not all.
But this seemd to be a wellknwown problem of the used card.
No, this is not a problem of the SAT-system, the good old dbox2 did the job fine
On other hand there is a small grumbling in stability of ProgDVB. It always happens, that :
switching channel a box appears "no good codec found".... (sometimes, not every time!)
The channel will open if you close the error-box.
And sometimes on HD it will happen, that Sound lacks....
one manual channel switch will solve the problem.
Before youe asking: Quadcore 4x3000MHz, 8 GB RAM
Please dont see this as "negative" for your product: I like it!
But some features seemed to bee "heavy under construction"

Re: timed recording fails
#10The scheduler issue may - but not must - be a matter of user / admin rights on your system.
Are you using admin rights, or a normal user account?
Where did you install ProgDVB to? Who owns the record folder, where is it located in your file system?
Anyway, as I don't have Seven here, someone else would have to proceed now.

#11"The scheduler issue may - but not must - be a matter of user / admin rights on your system.
Are you using admin rights, or a normal user account?"
Win7 gratefully uses useraccounts!
"Where did you install ProgDVB to? "
c:\ProgramFIles(x86)\ProgDVB
"Who owns the record folder, where is it located in your file system?"
The record folder is located at an other local harddisk, owner is the user who is starting ProgDVB.
Recording live is ok!!!!
Only scheduled will give the trouble....
But when checking all the things I saw two Links to ProgDVB at my desktop:
one "normal", one "debug"
Because of the trouble the last weeks I always used "debug"...
Starting the ProgDVB "normal" I immideately get the picture/sound of the last station.
Using "debug" fails!
So I will remove all entries in recording table, checking again Win-Taskmanager (and clear if necessary).
Then start with "normal"-button, creating the jobs new.
I will report a few days later
BTW: I didnt found any hints to use PIP .... did you have a link?
SEARCH wasnt succesfull ;-(
