Hi guys,
I'm happy that I found this place, b4 I became a member I read a lot and understand most of the things here.
the place where I have problems is the software. I would like to get things started and have my system up. Hope I can get help when I get stuck.
Things that I have in place.
Desktop computer, running win 7.
Pentium dual-core 2.50GHz
4.00gb 32 bit operating system
Satellite dish, with LNB's in place.
This week end I will read (if I get the time, coz' I'm a full time student with 3 kids) and try to get more going.
If any of you think that you can help me with information, please do help me.
If I can get the next steps with the links that would be great, then I don't have to look for stuff.

This board is dedicated to one software only, ProgDVB, and nothing but that...

To find it here, you don't need a link from anyone else, as on the left of every page here, this one included, you'll find the download page.

To use ProgDVB for satellite TV, first of all, you are in need of a DVB-S(2) tuner for the computer, USB or PCI(e) connected.
If you already have one (you did not mention), first install the drivers and then test with the original software, that came with it.
Once that's OK, you may start thinking about using 3rd party software (like ProgDVB) on your tuner.

Regarding breast feeding:
This is NOT the place for general computer issues, like setting up Windows correctly...

If having trouble with your computer bound satellite tuner and ProgDVB (though the original TV software is working well already), or to help others on theirs, be welcome. Then start with telling people all necessary details on your tuner hardware and driver, and on the problem, of course.

I was asking for help, "YES". If I get it I will thank you, if not I will work my but out and try to succeed. In my life I have work hard to accomplish what I want. Nothing was breast fed to me. I'm a Computer Added Machine Programmer. When my company first didn't give me the opportunity I studied on my own and learned how to operate and program them. Now I'm at school to get my diploma for it, yet again on my own.

So thanks for your information. I will succeed. It's a matter of "time"!
