Its crashes ocassioanly when I switch with channels and now with exit of program.

Thats very bad ...codec packs can damage your windows direkt show system....if this is broken ....sometimes only a reinstall of windows can help....

what you can try :

use driver 4.40 ...works best

and try other renderer in progdvb (menu: settings->audio/video->direktshow): VMR9 , VMR (needs windows XP) or progdvb renderer...

I have faced this problem before ... and the solution was by delete sky star 2 driver then install the new one in the official website
