My sistem have core 2 duo (2,4 GHZ) processor, 2GB DDR 800 MHZ ram, sky star 2 sattelitte card, newest Windows xp sp2 integrated march 2007 updates with internet explorer 7 and windows media player 11.
First i installed oldest version of technistar sky star2 drivers( v 4.3.0), wich comes on original cd. Then installed PROG DVB ( prom v 4.70.-4.85.2 – was the same result) with registering elecard codecs, inserting channels, plugins for move motor ( mibi's SS2DiSEqC 1.9), installing fix patch from Microsoft WindowsXP-KB896626-v2-x86-ENU and update direct x 9.0c to june 2007. All works fine, but when exit from program DVB it and windows freezing without any message board and always i must manually restart the computer.
Because i didn't resolve these problem i uninstall prog dvb and all drivers and i install newest sky star 2 drivers from technisat home page (v 4.4.0) and installed prog dvb, plugins,…
With these modification i solved the problem of exit freezing but i found newest problems.
The biggest one was when i moved the motor with plugin Mibi's DiSEqC 1.2 for SkyStar2 PCI & USB v1.9. The motor didn't move and the board message write:«sky star2 init error«.
On the navigation bar the signal was present, but on plugin Mibi's DiSEqC 1.2 on signal info wasn't present. Also LNB indicator (off, 13v and 18v was disabled (non functionally)).
After some changing of channels the screen become black irrespective of present signal. After that moment nobody channel was possible to view.

Somebody knows these problems?
What drivers and codecs i wiil use in these situation? Are these problems caused by newest version of windows with ie7 and wmp 11?

Possibly an overcurrent situation...

SS2 cards aren't meant to supply power to motors. Some this may work, sometimes it won't.
DC current drag of many motors is far higher than from LNBs, and it adds up to that.
Even the mainboard may matter, as it has to feed that power through the PCI slot first, before the SS2 converters can make 13 or 18 Volts out of it.
Normally the card's own vital circuits won't fail even then, so you won't get any helpful error message or symptoms ...

I found the solutions of my problems under newest drivers (4.4.0). The problem with black screen comes because, after the installation of drivers i changed the skysys driver under windows/system32/drivers with older driver skysys as in previous version to move the motor. If i change these driver with a new, i normally saw the programs under PROG DVB v 4.85.2. The "sky star2 init problem" i solved with the nev version of Mibi's DiSEqC 1.2 for SkyStar2 PCI & USB v 1.10.0. With these version of plugin all works normally with any problem.
Only i didn't undestand is why with older drivers 4.3.0 when exit PROG DVB windows freezes.
