Running windows XP32pro and progdvb 6.82.1 professional every thing is ok with audio codecs when watching SD channels.

for HD channels with AAC audio codec , progdvb plays audio by "LAV audio decoder" for example ( I can use many other codecs which is installed on my PC already but I am fine with this one) . problem starts when :
I want to record channels which have AAC as audio , then the recorded file has no audio stream at all but the video is ok .
I have tried everything that you may think of .(for exampple playing the recorded file with the last power dvd that has been released or other solutions , I am sure that something is wrong with prog)
can anybody help me ?

Try record over Service->Pid recorder.

Pid recorder record stream "IS AS". Then problem in playback software (or in stream).

Also I am recommend rescan channels.

I rescanned channel and result was the same .
for you to become sure that the recorded file has no audio and it is not the player issue I uploaded the normal recorded file here :

also I insist that progdvb itself plays the audio when you watch the channel but removes the audio when ypu record it

also if I change the recorded format as "audio stream" in option : then audio stream will be recorded so this tells that audio stream is ok but it wont be recorded in ts format

I uploaded a file named : prelude2love-11881_H_27500

It is simple mpeg audio. No any problems or bugs with this type. ProgDVB record and playback this TS. You must more experiments with playback software.

I am totally mixed up
I have installed "K-lite mega codec pack last version" and famous players like "VLC media player" or "virtual dub-mod" on my pc But I can not play it
can you tell me which software and which codec did you used to play the audio ?

my astonishment becomes high when I see that : "haali media splitter" tells that the file contains no audio and "klite mega codec pack" marks a big "X" on the audio section .

I playback in ProgDVB. But most interesting what wait for record. Pid recorder record stream "IS AS" and not change any information. If you playback soft not support audio in this file then problem in software (or in channel) but not in ProgDVB.

amazing , Progdvb plays the file ! and prog is the only player taht plays the file !

I think that is specific of one channel( or TV provider).

In version 6.83.1, some bugs:
1- we can record content with "save all audio streams" option, but when try playing the recorded sample, cant select audio language. It doesnt show others tracks to select in play mode.

2 - the play mode always use fddshow codec to play mpeg video material, no matter what codec is selected. Why this?

Check ProgDVBEngine.log. May be some error on first try of graph building.
