Situation: 21"-CRT with normally display-mode of 800x600 for SD-TV. When looking HD-TV, display-mode is set to 1280x960. Scroll-wheel is set to channel-up/channel-down for fast-zapping. TV-Pic-Size-Mode is set to "TV-Window" and "Zoom 100%". Now the question is: what should happen with TV-Window when changing channels ... the modes to differentiate are a) 4:3 and 16:9 and b) SD and HD. What can (but should not) happen is display of 16:9-pic in 4:3 window (with black stripes above and below). Now what's what behaviour?
Problem: when swapping channel and keeping zoom100%window-mode, the pic is ALWAYS set to 720x576/4:3-mode, even when changing from HD to HD mode or from SD/16:9-mode to SD/16:9-mode or from HD to SD/16:9-mode etc.. It is ALWAYS necessary to bypass any other mode (normal window or full-screen) to get again the appropriate window size ...
Bug or feature (but if feature, I don't see the purpose ...)
Re: Unappropriate TV-Pic-Size when swapping TV-Channels; Bug
#2800x600 is very low resolution. I am not test in this mode very long time...
Re: Unappropriate TV-Pic-Size when swapping TV-Channels; Bug
#3Please don't bother about screen-size of 800x600 - it works fine for SD-TV in 4:3 and 16:9 ...
But the described problem also appears in 1280x960 (or any other) screen format: when being in "zoom 100% window"-mode, EVERY channel change sets the TV-Window "back" to 720x576/4:3-Mode, whether from SD/16:9 to SD/16:9, from HD to HD, from SD to HD, from HD to SD ... ALWAYS the TV window is set to 720x576/4:3 and NOT to the format of the new channel, even if the mode of the new channel is NOT SD/4:3, but anything else ...
You then always have to first set to another mode (full-screen or normal) and set back to zoom100%window to get the actual size.
Shouldn't the mode be set directly to the new format?

#4ProgDVB not set size less then 720x576 because too small for popup panels.
Re: Unappropriate TV-Pic-Size when swapping TV-Channels; Bug
#5That is not the point. Btw: who did talk about less than 720x576 (or the standard SD TV window size)?
The point is: if you are looking a HD-channel in 1280x720/16:9 in "zoom100%window"-mode and are swapping to another HD-channel in 1280x720/16:9 (or anything else), the TV-Window is ALWAYS changing to a small 720x576/4:3 window (with black bars on bottom and top when the new program is in 16:9), and you have to first set fullscreen-mode or normal mode to be able to switch back to zoom100%window in 1280x720/16:9 (as it was before with the other HD channel).
TV-window-size should not change into 720x576/4:3 if the new window is NOT SD/4:3, but anything else! TV-window-size should DIRECTLY change into the zoom100%-format of the new chosen channel!
