Re: Problems of diseqc

Theres a old issue I will ask again Prog to fix it.
The problem is of the Diseqc 1.2 Positioner tab.

I use this diseqc tree:

Card>positioner 1.2>diseqc 1.0 > Lnb1, Lnb2, Lnb3, Lnb4.
The diseqc 1.2 positions are numbered 1, 2, 3, 4.

Then if I need a frequency of lnb1, I expect this diseqc message:
E0 31 6B 01 + E0 10 38 F0/F3 ( this is sent ok!)

But if i want a frequency of lnbs 2 or 3 or 4, I get this message:
E0 31 6B 01 :?: :?: + E0 10 38 Fx.

The diseqc1.2 position (E0 31 6B Fn) is not sent correct, as the positions are not fixed '1', but '2' or '3' or '4', depending of the desired satellite.

Thats an simplified example, Sir, for your illustration
Indeed, I use C band linear on port 1, C band circular on port 2, Ku band linear in port 3 and ku band circular on port 4. Every port with several satellites.
The messages are sent correct when changing channels; but diseqc 1.2 part are sent incorrect using tab of antenna adjust.

If you do the diseqc tree the way I showed in the picture above, it will not work right.

If you put all satellites together in the same port, it will work ok. But that is not what I need. I need LNBs on different ports of diseqc 1.0 switch.

LNBs and satellites must be in diferent ports, to observe the problem. I cheked the Logs, they too show the incorrect position number is sent. Every reader here can do that checking, and see.

If you click on the button "Positions" of the Diseqc 1.2 positioner tab, you can see that only appears the satellites of the port 1 of the switch, no matter which satellite you choose. Where are the other satellite I numbered in ports 2, 3 and 4?

So you didnt test because that is "not important".
A five minutes test shows the bug.
Much better for Progdvb image if they say from the beginning that they just dont want to fix this.

To the readers, if someone wants to check what I said, and to end this, to see the bug is easy:
In a clean instalation, put a positioner, then a switch, then some lnbs on each switch port. Click on each switch port and then on button "More than one satellite". Number the satellites as desired. See the picture bellow, satellite on port 2 was numbered "2".

Close the tabs, and go to the "Diseqc 1.2 positioner" tab to try adjust antenna. Choose any of the before set satellite, to adjust antenna.
Click on "Positions" button. Observe if the before set satellite numbers are present.

In the example above, where is the satellite position "2" we set before?
It is absent, and the diseqc 1.2 messages are wrong the same way (only position "1" is always sent, if you choose to adjust a satellite of ports 2, 3,...
Thats an old bug, it took me much time to figure out what was wrong, in past days when i was installing antenna. I had to configure antennas with a standard receiver, with Progdvb it was impossible to do it.

Tested version 6.86.3, and the Diseqc 1.2 Positioner tab still not working ok  .
Diseqc 1.2 position numbers are sent incorrect, not regarding what is in the LNB configuration.
We hope Prog fix this, even he thinks it is not important.
Always sending correct diseqc messages is a basic atribute of any DVB receiver  .
