I had no time to test the 6.86.3b pre-release, but now I tested the version 6.86.4.
I would like to thank Prog for fixing the old diseqc 1.2 bugs, so now everybody can use a positioner and a switch in the same instalation. Progdvb will work good in channel changing, scanning and motor adjusts (this took some years to go, but is done)
Still there are some things to perfect the diseqc 1.2. I see one bug to fix and two other issues to complete the
Diseqc 1.2 Positioner tab.
1- The buttom
"Positions" must be removed from that tab. For two reasons: first, because it is really useless; second, it is bugged.
In a simple configuration, with only one positioner, the buttom works well. It shows the choosen numbered satellites, and permit edit the satellites numbers.
But
in a complex configuration, positioners togeter with switchs, it will not show correct satellite positions, and editing satellite numbers there will destroy the diseqc tree we configured in the "Setting > TV Sources" . The example I gave some messages above shows clearly the problem.
So, the "Positions" buttom must be removed, and the only good place to edit satellite numbers should be the "Setting > TV Sources" in the toolbar.
2 - the next issue is with the
drop-down satellite list of the Diseqc 1.2 Positioner tab. It
shows a list of all the satellites present in the "all.list" transponder file.
But if I have only a few choosen satellites in my diseqc tree, as set in the "Setting > TV Sources", it is logical to show only this ones in the Diseqc 1.2 Positioner tab.
For example, say I use only four satellites; why show more than 200 ones in that list?
Do the same way it is in the Manual Scanner tab, which shows only the able satellites.
3 - finally, the satellite number that appears next to the "Goto" buttom should be the number set to the satellite I choose in the drop-down list. Now it is always "0".
But most of the times, we want to find a new satellite or do a antenna fine tuning to a weak satellite; so we have to
type the right satellite number before storing a position. With dozens of satellites, remenbering them becomes a problem, cant you see?
Thats all we wish Prog considerate, and soon implement in Progdvb.
