Sorry I don't get the point or what you are trying to say. Your post can be taken many ways!
OK. bit easier. try upgrade red points. it is not enough for viewing of eight windows. So clear? :)

You can select same codec and render in ProgDVB. This is most part of CPU using. But I think impossible really playback 11 normal channels in Atom. You can try playback 11 files at first :)
I use the same codec and render on both programs but for me at present PIP on ProgDVB does not work. The PIP pops up but once the list of channels is displayed the PIP disappears. This is no problem for me as I never use PIP anyway.

We must understand that Progdvb more sophisticated and require more resources. In Progdvb there are many things that are not in Dream, and if you're not in use, the program does not become less intensive care.

I am not trying to have a go at anybody I was just trying to show that CPU and graphics card are not the only reason for not getting multiple PIP and that it is possible even on slow computers with less sophisticated graphics cards.

I tested PIP of DD, to see.
I could open 1 + 11 windows smooth. Same codecs and rendeder as in Progdvb. Took +/- 70% CPU load.
Only playing DVB on this computer, nothing else.

I tested a little the PIP of prerelease 6.90.0c, and found there´s audio only in the first window, the next PIP windows are all mute.

About the high use of CPU, did extensive tests and for me to mitigate it, I have to:
1- use Microsoft demux (never use Progdmux, it is a problematic demux)
2- use Enhanced renderer (Custom renderer use lots of CPU)
3- dont use Audio processor (a big CPU eater...)
4- use stable codecs. For me, the best are
-for mpeg: LAV codec (its very stable, free and do 4.2.2)
-for h.264: Core AVC (lesser cpu use, hardware acceleration)
-for mpeg1 and AC3 audio: AC3 decoder
-for AAC audio : divx AAC decoder (less problems with he-aac).
5- never use PIP, the CPU usage increases exponencially at every new opened window. 4 or 5 PIPs enough to crash system.

The audio un-sync is something long to be solved in ProgDVB, theres not one perfect codec to all and every channel (same kind of audio, be clear).

With this settings, I can get SD and HD with about 5 ~ 10% CPU load.
