Hi guys.
I'm trying to set up ProgDVB with a dual-tuner where both receivers go to the same satellite. So far the viewing and recording of different channels works only if i manually choose the channel for recording on receiver A and the channel to watch on receiver B (or the other way round).
Is there a way to merge the two channellists of the receivers and let the program decide which receiver is used for watching and recording?
I found an option in the channel list editor where i can select my devices, but i can't figure out if it is the way to go.
Unfortunately the forum search didn't turn up anything for my scenario, as both of the receivers go to the same satellite.
Thanks for your help.
Re: Problem with setting up a dual-tuner card
#3Thanks for the fast reply.
It doesn't seem to make a difference if i turn it off or on.
What does this option do exactly?
Also there is an option in the Channel Properties under Transponder where i can select the active device for the particular channel. This option decides which device is used to receive a channel.
Can i change this so it only defines the transponder and not which device is used for receiving it?

Re: Problem with setting up a dual-tuner card
#4May be I am not good understand you. ProgDVB try automatic select not busy tuner for new channel or recording.
Re: Problem with setting up a dual-tuner card
#5that's what i thought too.
ok. let's start from scratch. I got the dual-tuner card tbs 6981 and have both inputs configured to the Astra 19.2E.
I can then run the scan for both the devices A and B.
Then i get two channel lists. One for each device.
If i open the properties of a channel, i can select the device in the transponder settings. That's where i have to say which device to use.
So what am i missing right now?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Problem with setting up a dual-tuner card
#6Try open channel from one transponder and one more channel from other. ProgDVB must use both tuners if you enable Dual tuner.
Re: Problem with setting up a dual-tuner card
#7hi,
settings->options->multi-channels->'"dual-tuner" open channel ony any device with same position' is set.
i start recording "channel A" on device "dev1".
Now if i try to select a second "channel B" from the same transponder, "channel A" goes into the small PiP and "channel B" comes up in full.
If i try to select a different "channel C" that is not on the same transponder as "channel A", the OSD for "channel A" comes up and nothing else happens.
any idea what else i can try?
