AMD 64 PC on WinXP64 with SS2. Progdvb 5.12.09

When running a Channel Search, if the the frequency being scanned does not return a signal, progdvb hangs. The only way out is to kill the process. This does not happen with any of the version 4 releases that I have used, so I don't think it is an issue with the SS2 Drivers.
