Dear all,
after reintsallation of Win XP pro Progdvb runs quite stable. But I still can't record an movie in Dolby Digital. I am using Techosat Skystar USb 2 plus. With the Technisat software I can record respectives movies in Dolby Digital with no problems.
I have tryed all my in Windows installed codex, including Nero, Cyberlink, ff show, Main Concept, Elecard. I also just installed the Tsunami codexes. But this codexes are not listet so far in the direct show otions.
With some codex I get an error message: Graph error or codex not found.
Please, what I do wrong?

Thanks for the quick replay.
It is SD mpeg2 channels?
You mean if the movie is transmitted with Dolby ? Yes
PS: Also you can try record to TS format.
I am not familiar with the TS containers. All I want is to record as mpeg2 store the movie on my NAS Server and watch later via my Zyxel DMA-1000 on my TV. As I said, with original software from Technisat it all works fine recording in mpeg 2 with Dolby Digital.

SAT 1, Prosieben and some others. It is not the station and neither the hardware. It could be the wrong codec, settings in progdvb or window settings. All I get is recording in two channel stereo. Maybe a lot of users have the same problem, but don't know about. First in action movies you hear immediatly you hear the difference and to make a quick check, is using the Gspot programm, which tells all parameters of Video and Audio. With Technisat software recorded, same movie, same hardware, same operatingsoftware sound is recorded in dolby digital. First which would help me is, does elecard codex in the trial version support dolby digital. If yes, than it must be maybe a soundcard driver problem, or settings in windows which mabe the original technisat software bypasses.

To frozen _ Figo
how do I ad codec to the filter graph and register. Some, like Cyberlink are in the drop down menue, but others are not. So the ones are not show, prberly not registerd. However if someone could check if recording wors with the elecard filters would help so much to start from there on

There's many way :
* drag/drop .ax file to regsvr32 located in C:\WINDOWS\system32
e.g. Drag ac3filter.ax & drop to regsvr32
* using script , by adding Anyname.bat in folder that's ax file(s) located and write " regsvr32 .ax /s "
e.g. make a script register.bat then open it and write regsvr32 clvsd.ax /s , then execute it
this will add Cyper link video codec

Thanks Frozen-Figo,
I coped all ax files into the System32 Folder. Now I can use also different Video codex with progdvb. But still no record with AC3 Dolby possible.
I can see in Progdvb unter File > Properties > Audio-Renderer nChannels "6"
Now I have two thought, one ist, maybe with the standart edition of progdvb AC3 is inhibit. Second as far I know requires Progdvb an istalled Windows Mediaplayer. I have Windows Mediaplayer 11 on my system. But I found it strange, Windows Mediaplayer uses the elecard drivers and I don#T know so far how to change this and if this is maybe the reason why it did not work.
I am willing to buy the cmercial version of Prodvb, espezially for the Multicast function, but first I want to know if it fits all my needs and also I will replace my current PC with an X64 Vista PC and HDMI function within the next couple of weeks.
Further more, has anyone an idee which stand alone client would work with Prgdvb. I have an Zycel DMA-1000 with HDMI function. For the money and quality a great client. But there is no function to stream a password protecdet stream. So streaming direct out of progdvb to the DMA-1000 seems to be impossible. But maybe via any other server software in between. It would be fantastic if someone know a solution. I don't have the knowlege of all this to do it by myself.
