Add channel using PIDs?

#1
Hi

How do I add a channel using PIDs? I have tried, but have not had any success so far!

I have the Audio PID, the Video PID, PCR PID, PMT PID, TS ID and the Service PID.

A quick how to would be much appreciated. Also, do I need any other data?

Many thanks,

Wayne

First of all, look into channel properties of an existing channel, to find out what's in there. Normally, you will also find a network ID there.

If you like, you can try to modify an unnecessary channel, like a data channel, for your needs.
Make sure to set it to not update, as sometimes such channels are missing in the ID tables transmitted.
To make sure your changes are accepted, close and restart ProgDVB once.
Don't change more than one channel at a time, to avoid confusing the channel database.
Have your (dynamic) channel list be grouped by transponder and make show all kind of signals, to help you on locating the new / edited channel.
