Hi All im trying to get prog goin on my nexus s 717 i can get it to work with MT as soon as i install prog and try to scan it crashes
if i restart prog i get cant inishilize front end and have to uninstall prog and reinstall nexus again if i dont uninstall prog i cant get the nexus workin even with reinstall i have tried many vertions of prog all do the same?? the nexus freezes with MT and i cant get prog workin
runnin xp on p4 1.7 any ideas Y??

Normally, ProgDVB works fine with a Nexus, on a P4 / 1700 and XP Sp2, 'cause that's exactly what I have tested here. Also on Win98SE and 2000 Sp4.

But the original application from hauppauge or Technotrend contains a data service, that has to be stopped resp. kept from being autostarted, to make the device available for 3rd party software.
Maybe MT knows the trick to handle the original data application, like the original software does it, but ProgDVB does not, same as other 3rd party DVB software.

BTW, as a Nexus user, best try ProgDVB versions from before introduction of Engine2 (4.86 and up), to make the most out of the hardware benefits.

Hi All thank you Juergen for the reply i changed driver to 219h and prog ver 4.62.6 (hard mode) is workin well no sound?? Y no sound??

For REAL hardware mode you must connect the hardware audio port to your sound card, e.g. to line in, activate / de-mute that mixer port and set it's level.

The 2.19c driver had forced a mixed mode if software set to use HW mode, still HW mode on the TV out, but SW mode for the PC, including audio there.

Now the 2.19h driver has set things back to normal, HW mode for both the TV out and the PC internally.
And your CPU load should have dropped to felt temperature below zero
