Being taken out a subscription to me in football more, I had ceased using progdvb, whom I used only to look at football. But I cannot look any more at eurosports because I do not have canalsat.
I wanted to re-install progdvb with my nexus s on my microphones which since evolved; I have no more picture with, while I have pictures with digital TV of hauppauge!?! I have recent graphic cards;
ati 1550 on one and geforce 4950 on other one. I assume that it must be a regulating which I does not make or a driver to be installed, but I do not succeed in taking out there

That translator does not understand technical items, obviously...

However, I will try to guess.
Maybe you tried to use the special driver for PCI-e systems.
That one would force software mode for the computer screen and audio, even if ProgDVB starts the device in hardware mode.
You can easily find out by testing the TV out, as it will stay available in hardware mode even with that special driver.

If you do have picture there (on FTA stations), check the following:

If you have to stay with that special driver, you should use software mode for ProgDVB and register a codec, set DirectShow for it. The original software for PCI-e system comes with ffdshow codecs.

Else try the latest Technotrend Premium driver and software package 2.19h.

But if you do not even have picture on the TV out, check as follows:
Do you have good signal level and quality (close to 100%)?
Do you get stations at scanning?
Do the stations carry audio and video IDs (in channel properties) ?
Do you get EPG and TXT (if available)?

If you don't understand all this, get help from someone who understands English. I don't speak French, sorry.

You may find drivers on the pages of the original manufacturer at technotrend.com.
They made all versions of the SS1 / Premium cards; hauppauge is just one brand name for those products.

To get sound in hardware mode, you have to connect the hardware audio ports to line in (or any other suitable input port) of your sound card.

For mainboards using PCI-e for VGA, you can get a special software / driver packet from Technotrend. This one will force software decoding for the PC screen picture (and audio), whereas the TV out will stay fully active (if device started in HW mode).
No audio cable connection needed for PC audio then.
As you need codecs then, first install and set up the original application completely. It comes with a complete set of ffdshow codecs. If picture goes upside down there, adjust the codec from the original application.

p.s.
As long as L is >40%, you should have Q=100% on a Nexus-S and normal Astra or Hotbird transponders.

I downloaded the pilot 219h to technotrend.com.

Normally, the line in of a sound card is muted by default, and it's not visible on playback audio mixer.
So open windows audio mixer, activate line in for playback, de-mute and set a proper level.
If you can't find the mixer on your system, look for sndvol32.exe

I proved; the entrance line is not checked mute; it is therefore speeded up well.
I wonder if it does not come from the message ttloophe.sys obsolete!?!
In vista either I do not have sound, and if I speed up sound ac3 in the interface of TV digital of technotrend, vista is planted in the execution.

But the file properties of ttloophe.sys in fact show it's made for Win98 - XP.

And I do remember, the virtual networking device is NOT necessary on Vista and it should be removed or deactivated from device manager, to not cause trouble. At least Technotrend told so.
Even on older Windows versions, it's not necessary, if you don't want to receive data traffic like SkyDSL, or some silly DVB application insists on having it.

Talking audio issues, do you get sound directly from the hardware TV out? Standard audio, not AC3, of course. If that's working, the way back into the sound card should also work, normally, as it's using the same analogue signal.

AC3 cannot be done in hardware directly, no such stage implemented. So, in any case it requires software decoding, that may perhaps not be available on Vista (yet). At least the misbehaviour of the original software points into this direction. Many codecs still are not not available for Vista.
But theoretically S/P DIF might work, if you can connect it to some adequate input port you may possibly have somewhere.

Can't test with S/P DIF here, as neither my sound card nor my vintage tube amplifier have an input for this.

What seems strange to me is that the icone sound of technotrend interface (the similar for that of hauppauge) is disactivated (blocked by a trait), and that it is impossible to activate it.
First let us focus on xp.
I would like to recover sound under xp
I have sound correctly under xp and no sign of disfonctionnement in the administrator of peripherals but it doesn't work under the TT premium interface.

Sorry, I suppose, I don't really understand this correctly.

What are you talking about?
The Technotrend application 'DigitalTV'?
It has a stroke out speaker symbol on the right side of the volume control slider. This is normal, as this symbol is the mute switch, and it does NOT change it's shape, but the colour, to indicate it's switch state. If audio is muted, this symbol is yellow. If not muted, the symbol is grey.
That mute switch reacts a bit slow on my system, needs around a second to change.
However, it's switch state does not effect other DVB software, as the firmware load on an application start sets default (mute off), the application then sets it's own state, normally last state when closed.

Talking hardware mode, the audio comes from the Nexus internal audio hardware.
You should test if you have sound on the RCA / Cinch out. If so, the 3.5 mm Minijack connector should also have audio automatically, as it's using the same port.
The minijack goes to line in of the sound card.

The line in must be active, of course.

The windows audio mixer provides it's own slider for line in, but perhaps it must be adjusted to be visible from playback controls.
It has it's own mute switch, that will not be controlled by DVB applications and has to be released to work, of course. Line in level should be set to maximum in most cases.

When the Nexus is in hardware mode, you don't have any other way to get audio, as then there's no sound over the PCI bus.

Some very old versions of ProgDVB must have the option 'audio over filter' deactivated. This is only meant for software mode.

If using the Technotrend KS driver for PCI-e systems, the PC related behaviour of audio and video will be like in software mode, only the TV out will stay in hardware mode..

I have checked this on XP SP2 / Win2000 SP4 and Win98SE, all identical.

I manage to get the sound under xp by linking the hauppauge dvb-s audio line out external to the sb-live audio line, with cable in external.

I would like to receive eurosport french channel.
That's only to watch my favourite football team playing once or twice a year.
I used to receive it by yantsee but now this software is obsolete.
But I didn't know how to use emunation and vplug and even if they are useful for my problem.
Do you know any other software (or any other solution) that can help me to receive eurosport in french ?
Then I will try to do it the same way under vista.
