How do i get perfect SDTV codecs working with this for free?

Depends, for example on your VGA card.
Some VGA cards provide hardware support, more or less. And some codecs may then benefit from that. Normally these are the codecs, the VGA cards manufacturer buys for his (retail) software packages.
As the amount / quality of HW support differs very much from one VGA card to the other, there's no general solution -> perfect codec for all.
Besides of that, of course even good codecs may come with limitations, like those for DVD players, that don't have to be able to automatically change aspect ratio or data rate at run time, as the DVD source can and would only reset and re-initiate or even change the codec at any track or at least chapter change. This means, it may be impossible, to force AR changes, when the DVB video source would need this due to transmission changes.
Same goes for audio, of course.

Basically, most codecs aren't freeware at all, normally come with other software. Often codec packs are not just built without care for system stability, but also use stolen components.
So best to do is, find just one (for a purpose) and copy and register manually.

What one are u using with progdvb; if u r using progdvb?

I am using my Nexus in hardware mode normally, no codecs then.
Else I am using Cyberlink DTV, as this one cooperates with my ATI RADEON 9250 quite well, and it came with my DVB-T stick.

Yours seems to be an nvidia, so perhaps look for their codecs.

Look into the manual or CD for your VGA card or computer system.
If you don't have can't or find it, check at nvidia.com
