I am wondering if it has something to do with the fact I am using a DishPro Plus LNBF? I have read these draw a lot of power and some FTA/DVB cards don't have the power to switch them - but shouldn't I at least get some channels? I hope to borrow a single LNB from a friend of mine next week and can report how this works out afterwards.
The RG-6 cable connects to port 1 of the DPP Plus, runs for about 60 feet and then connects directly to my DVB card. However, to verify I have signal I connected an old Bev box and it reports 70% signal on 119. When I connect back to my DVB card and launch ProgDVB it reports 100% for signal strength but nothing for quality (I assume the first box is for signal strength and the second for quality).
I am trying to point to 119/110 and have tried setting the following first using the Geniatech device listing and then with the Conexant BDA listing (As picked up and shown in the Device listing options). The scans take 30 seconds to run but do not produce any channels. Blind scans take under 5 minutes to run with the same results. When running a blind scan level=100; Quality=0.
Diseq switch settings:
Diseq 1.0(4 ports)
First entry (I assume this is port 1)
Ku-band type with power selected
Default LOF settings for 1&2 (also tried 1125/1435)
Satellite = 119 (2410: Anik F3 & EchoStar 7 & DirecTV 75)
Second entry (I assume this is port 2)
Ku-band type with power selected
Default LOF settings for 1&2 (also tried 1125/1435)
Satellite = 110 (2500: DirecTV 5 & EchoStar 8/10)
System info:
- ProgDVB version 5.14 English
- Digiwave 103G DVB
- Two options reported in ProgDVB device list (1) Conexant BDA DVB-S Tuner/Demod version 1.53, API version 1.33 (2) Geniatech DVBS device version 1.00, API version 1.16
- BDA Driver
- Win XP/SP2 English
- ProgDVB older verions had same results (4.75 - bundled with software) & (4.9)
- Also tried using DVBDream, & MT with no success
Any help anyone can provide would really save the few hairs I have left on my head

Thanks
