Your CPU is as slow as mine.
And that's not really much for DVB software decoding...
So, on such a system, each and every component has to be set up perfect - for it.
Beneath others, this includes:
- driver version
- codec / graph / renderer (if possible use some HW support of your VGA; disable all software based reprocessing; find a codec that eats less)
- DirectX latest version and patches
- DVB related MS hotfix(es)
- optimal networking settings (the card also is a virtual networking device...)
- find out all ressource eaters, that might cause frequent peak load, control their priorities
To get as hint where to start on, make a recording with 'disable MPEG2 decoder for low CPU use' and compare.
If trouble even then, it's about ressources and loads, if not, it's multimedia trouble of some kind.
Or both at a time...
Don't have an SS2 over here, but my MSI digivox mini II (DVB-T) also gets my system pretty hard to the limits. Had to carefully adjust all the bolts and nuts this for...
