Recording from more than one BDA device?

#1
Hi,

This is my first post here at ProgDVB and I would just like to say that this is a great program and I love it, much better than the Hauppauge software that came with my cards.

I have:

1x Hauppauge Nova-T-500 Dual DVB-T Tuner PCI Card
1x Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus Single DVB-S Tuner PCI Card

The Nova-T-500 card shows up as two devices, listed as:

{BDA} Nova-DT DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path0)
{BDA} Nova-DT DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path1)

I was wondering if it is possible to record from more than one BDA device at a time?

Maybe a possible future feature would be that you would click on a device tab at the bottom of the channel list, right click a channel you would like to record, select a "Record" option then that channel would start recording. After that all the other channels not on that frequency/transponder would disappear (or become greyed out) from the list on that tab, meaning that you would also be able to right click any of those channels and select record as well, and it would record that channel, but to a different file.

And then for this feature to be repeated per device so you could record one or two (or more) channels (on the same frequency/transponder) using one device, and then watch another (or even record another) by selecting a different device tab and selecting a different channel.

So, if you had three devices you could be recording from all three devices at the same time, and more than one channel per device (but only on the same frequency/transponder of course).

Also, make sure you would be able to watch any other channel on any of the devices (although if that device is recording you would be limited to what is on that frequency/transponder.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say :?

Anyway, Thanks for the great program!

Regards,

Ben
