Hello,

I just found ProgDVB as a good replacement for Terratec Home Cinema(shitty product). I installed ProgDVB but every time I launch ProgDVB, I get a few error messages:
No video encoder filter found in system
Error to initialize MPEG-2 filters
Then, I get another window with title "DiSEqC Settings" with my Terratec Cinergy HT PCI (MKII) for DVB-T reception. When I click "OK", the window disappears and reappears right away. I need to click "Cancel" :?

Any idea how to solve this problem?
Other than that, does the pro version allow to record in the background (as said on your web site) but also, at the same time, watch a different channel?

Thanks!

1. Select video codec in settings->Video->mpeg2
2. Select list of transponders for all devices in this list.

Thanks! I went through the menu, but I don't have a "Video" item under "Settings".

Also, where is the list of devices that I should choose from?

You forgot to mention, which version of ProgDVB you are trying on.

If no "Audio and Video" item found in Settings menue, try to find video settings from item "Options".

Second issue, you must select a transponder list, to be able to scan for stations. Like Prog told.

Looking through all the menues once won't hurt anyone ;)

Thank you. I am done with the transponder error message, however, I still have the encoder error message. But I have codecs selected in the options:

So I don't know what I am missing. Any idea?

Having selected isnot enough.
A codec must exist on your system and be available / registered.
To understand, find the file "register.bat" and look into it with your editor.

Thanks. I did some more research and tried to install the Elecard H.264/AVC decoder, but I got this error message related to ProgDVB:

Do you know if there is another way to install those codecs? :(
Thanks.

May well be, the path does not exist. AFAIK, ProgDVB does not use a subfolder "Components". Must be "Filters" instead.

Thanks, OK. When you installed ProgDVB, did you install additional codecs? If so, which ones?

Place the .ax file(s) into the Filters folder.
If necessary, register it / them.
