I have a skystar 2 card that was working with progdvb in a p4 PC. Now progdvb wont work on new PC. I get error message"device not started". Is it an issue with new pc or progdvb. Card is correctly installed in device manager. Other dvb progs are running fine. But i prefer progdvb. I want it to work. I read all posts with this issue and could not find someone who solved this issue. Please help.

Do you full install of driver include applications?

I do not understand what you mean by full install. I installed the package downloaded from technisat website.The driver is automatically installed when hardware is detected. Is there any special procedure to follow?Does progdvb require a special driver?

After install driver you must start setup.exe and install some software (from driver)

Thank you. After many install/unisnstall I came to make it work.
The card was disable then enable again. after that I just reinstall the technisat soft( run setup.exe from the INSTALL folder extracted from the zip file). It require reboot. I install progdvb 4.xx. Device failed again. I start it manually and program runs ok. I then installed progdvb 6. Engine starts automatically.
What was really wrong with the other installs I do not know. It is not the first time I installed progdvb and it really troubled me. But this seems to be a major problem for many many users who could not find a solution. I think Progdvb should be installed more easily. since the card is correctly installed and other third party software is running, I did not see any other issue. Thanks again
