Problems with versions 6.7x

Hi, all, opened this topic to comment bugs of version 6.7x, in hope Prog do it a stable version (no new features, only solve the several old bugs). Hope other users help this.

1- In version 6.73, i found a problem with blind scan using tbs module:
- it is cutting the voltage to the lnb when starting blind scan. To my understand, this should not happen, lnb voltage must remain 'on' while the receiver is turned on.
I observed it as my diseqc 1.2 controller detects this condition and halts its operation until voltage is completelly off for some time. This is to prevent microcontroller malfunction and tear out of motor parts.

2- regarding to the blind scanner, it needs some more inteligence, as it is generating many new channels with small offset in parameters. For example 1 MHZ plus / less, 1 K symbol rate count plus / less, seems a new, but is a present channel.

Well thats enough today

Updated TBS.eBDA2 module 1.0.0.739:

x86
x64

Problem with last ProgDVB 6.72.x must be solved.

Ok, thank you, Crazycat. Did a fast test with new module and lnb power seems good now :) .
Now lets wait for Prog give a look in the problem of the repeated channels :| .

maybe you saet small scan step ? defaul 5Mhz suitable for most satellites, sometime help reduce to 3Mhz. I not recommend < 3Mhz

Hi, Crazycat, thats not the problem. Blind scanning satellite a second time is generating repeated channels with small diferences in frequency or SR. Progdvb scanner needs to look if theres not a near present frequency, or needs a button to delete repeated channels.

Did a test with pre-release version 6.72.3.1, and observed a problem:
- Changing a channel is many times problematic, it can freeze Progdvb.
That wont happen when hardware direct control is off.
It seems that when changing a channel or tunning a weak signal frequency, both signal and quality raise, then go to zero after a moment, and that can crash Progdvb.
Then trying to close program shows a warning:
Except: ProgdvbEngine::Engine_Stop

Win 7 32bits, Prof 7301 card.

Just after posting message above, saw new pre-release 6.72.3.2.

1-Did a fast testing with it and the freezing problem keeps the same way.

2- About the blind scan repeated channels, it still keeps. In a fast look seems there are evolutions, but it needs more tests to confirm sure. My lnbs change frequency a lot when temperature varies.

Hi, did a fast test with pre-release 6.72.4, and found this problems:

1- a blind scan (BS) on NSS 806 found 68 frequencies, with one signed as S2.
But a BS with Easy Blindscan, same range and same step found 81 frequencies, with 15 S2 kind. So the TBS module showed relative low efficiency in the search.

2- the BS found only 2 S2 frequencies, only one signed correctly as S2. So the efficiency was very bad in S2 search.

3- the incorrectly signed frequency dont show the S2 in the frequency, and the channel properties has the modulation type missing:

4- the repeated channels problems keeps on, the same thing.

Win 7 32bits, Prof 7301 card.

Thats enough today :|, bye.
