I had them all un-checked and it crashed!

I now have "Inform about new versions" set to on, so it can set the "LastUpdateTime=" with a day code to stop ProgDVB from crashing.

Are you saying "LastUpdateTime=0" should not be zero?

Try setting "LastUpdateTime=0" in your ProgDVB.ini and see what happens.

Version 7.05.5 has the same bug causing crash!

It happens when "LastUpdateTime=0"

It looks like this is set to zero if you turn off the "Automatically to update transponders and other information" and the "Share information about new channels for debugging and channel base"

For me the last two versions have been very unstable. Version 7.05.02 works fine.

If I un-tick the new ""Share information about new channels..." option, the next time I start ProgDVB it crashes!

I am going to try some older versions of ProgDVB.

I have found the cause! It is when we have a transponder update with a name change like the recent "Eutelsat 28A, Astra 2A, 2E, 2F" change due to the satellite line up. This causes channels to be shown more than once after a channel scan.

If the "Can update" option is un-ticked, will this stop the updating of everything for that channel?
I was thinking just the "Scrambled" indication does not need to be updated after the first scan.
I don't know what others think?

correct me if I am wrong but if the name of a channel has been edited and then that channel is then rescanned the name will stay changed and not revert back to its original name regardless of the "Can update" option?

Dynamic list settings are not working correctly after channel scan. I recently scanned 19.2E and found some channels missing from my channel list, so I rescanned again and saw the channels appear in the scan box but could not see them in my channel last afterwards.

Yes. I decided to start again from scratch. So I deleted my Channel folder and re-scanned all the satellites starting at 45E. Then added some channels to favourites. Did a re-scan for some of the satellites and got random channels in favourites for the ones I had scanned.
