I'm sorry but I don't really understand what you mean.

Basically, I haven't yet found a way to keep the automatic gain control turned on, between one run of ProgDVB and the next.

Is it just me who first always hits 'new topic' instead of 'post reply' ? !

I wanted to add, yes, I also find the automatic gain control setting is not retained from one run of ProgDVB to the next.
I assume it is only known to work with some specific setups?

Turn off NIT scanning ?

Hello again,

Is there a way to do a full scan without using NIT? I've turned off what might be the relevant setting(s) but still my scans detect new transponders.

Presumably this shouldn't happen, because I am first using the transponder list program from fastsatfinder.com to load up to date ...

Is there any clear evidence or firm knowledge that any of the following USB cards work properly with ProgDVB on Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit?
I could obviously search and take a guess, but I want to be sure if I decide to buy another card ...

The power pack is quite small and light.

Well, I've now tried ProgDVB, Media Portal and (bought) DVBViewer. None of them properly drive my DiSEqC.
WinTV however continues to work fine.

I can only assume this device doesn't have the mystical 'BDA compatibility'.

I have indeed learned that any loopthrough potentially screws up any chance of getting it working! (Hopefully I won't have to use my method which relies on loopthrough and my other receiver)
