I really find hard to belive that progy is still the same bullsh*t as it was almost 10 years ago.
Version 4.06 was almost acceptable.... and it was free.
Regards to all belivers od this program.
Re: After almost of 10 years
#3I dont understand philosophies of Progdvb, too. Seems there will never be a finished, full debugged version. Hope it should not be released new major versions without final revision of current one. Because installing new weeklly versions is problematic: loose custom frequencies lists, loose dvb card settings, new issues or behaviour appear, etc.
There are jurassic problems: diseqc 1.2, subtitles, un-sync audio to video, recording issues. Some of those can be ok in a release, but may come bad in the next...
The blindscan tool for the TBS/Proof card needs a total remake to be usable.
Well, i like Progdvb because it is user friendly, it has the easiest, most intuitive interfaces. And it has many network functions (never tested this, I only use dvb receiver to tv).

Re: After almost of 10 years
#4Because all problem depended from current PC
And, so.
1. What problem with diseq? It is very depended from hardware level.
2. What problem with subtitles?
3. Do you have problem with sync in last versions with prog demux + prog audio renderer + custom EVR? Because I am not have same reports from other users.
About blind scanner - this is not official function. TBS and Prof - TOTAL not support this API. You can ask CrazyCat more about settings.

Re: After almost of 10 years
#5And more again, (do you know that nice old song from Love?) last version (6.83.2) bad, seems not tested before release. Uses lots of memory, then freezes, dont know why.
Re: After almost of 10 years
#6Is it depended from codecs or demux? I am not have report about that from other users.
Re: After almost of 10 years
#8Not problem in my PC... Please check Settings->Options. I am remake this dialog and possible some bugs on dialog level.
Re: After almost of 10 years
#9Cant play HD content in version 6.83.4 - high CPU use, freezes machine after a short time. Useless version for me.
Re: After almost of 10 years
#11With version 6.84, audio is bad:
MPEG audio choppy;
AAC audio returned the infamous "Pin not found"
No matter what codec, demux. renderer, processor.
Video seems good.
But, for me, a useless version again.

Re: After almost of 10 years
#12it is 2 different problems.
1. aac. possible aac codec not like working with this channel or/and ProgDVB fill not correct MediaType for that. Do you use divx aac?
2. With mpeg2 audio situation very depended from audio renderer and audio renderer. You can try Prog Demux + Prog Audio renderer or MS + System audio renderer.

Re: After almost of 10 years
#131 . two versions befores, AAC audio was good. Divx or Elecard codec all bad. Tunning the channel three or four times opens audio.
2. Using standard (progdmux, prog renderer). But same results with other part combinations. Other DVB players running smooth audio same machine.
