my problem here which I want you to help me in is that there are number of channels appear like they have a stronge signal, however it don't work at all, why?and how can I make it work?
I'm from Egypt and I'll give you example for the channels that don't work although it have good signals :

You forgot to mention, what satellite all this is transmitted from, if these are all FTA stations (all the time = 24/7).
Also please include basic detaiuls on your DVB device, ProgDVB version, codecs used and alike.

What happens, if a non working station is updated from channel properties? Do audio and video IDs update or do they vanish?

the type of satellite is Nilesate 101,102
and when I make update for the unwork channels nothing happens for the audio and video IDs and the details for the Prog DVB are sent before as you required

So, the audio and video IDs always are correct, even if you are NOT getting picture nor sound?

I can't test your satellite positions here, so I can just speculate and try to give hints.

Try to record from one of that non working (uncrypted / free) stations.

If you are receiving valid streams, recording must
work even if codecs fail. You would notice this by growing file size. In such a case, your trouble may be codec related, perhaps due to a video resolution that codec can't handle or similar.

If you are not getting valid streams, file size will stay at zero. If so, check the audio and video IDs of that station, compare with either a working other application, or another tuner, or a table like satcodx.com, or get valid data from the provider's site. Put in the correct IDs for a station manually and test again

Another way of testing an individual ID is the PID recorder. If an ID carries data, the file must grow, no matter what kind of data is getting transported.

In any case, post full details, for that station you have tested on.
This includes results of PID recording and ID comparison with satcodx

This way I hope to get us somewhat closer to the source of your problem.
But the only way is, to go absolutely systematic.

About video pid you wrote 28261 , if that what appear i think this is ur problem . The right pid is 1006 , so try it .

what's progdvb version you use ?!

some channels do not work for me also... my problem is that for some reason, some channels do not work with elecaard codec.. i do not know why.. but when i change the codec when on those channels to something like cyberlink, they work...

This may be a hint for trouble with some special mode, data rate or alike, for the codec / renderer, ProgDVB or their cooperation or even declaration in the tables, stream packet headers or alike.
This for, details rule...

but do you know what was the problem?
the problem was in the video and audio IDs they were wrong and although I made lots of updates and there were no changes,
I guessed that the problem in them and changed them according to book I have and the channels finally worked

So one question remains:
How did the IDs get corrupted?

It may be a bug in ProgDVB, or a bad transmission, or some kind of a logical problem on either side, some bad defined ir incomplete implemented standard, to many possible reasons to mention...
But as Prog - as the programmer - needs logically precise and (almost) complete input to try to patch, we have to admit, we still can't provide him enough of this right now...

To get a step further on, at least, it may still be a good idea, to compare with another DVB application and / or a receiver, and to find out, if eventually that IDs are subject to changes - not being constant 24/7 - or alike.

We're talking computer logics here, not any kind of human style randomly erroneous behaviour - at least I hope so
