Hi again,

I tested a while and tosheva's idea seemed to be right. The effect is caused by the DS-demultiplexing namely empgpdmx.ax.
Close ProgDVB go to the Plugins Folder and unregister the empgpdmx.ax by using regsvr32.exe /u empgpdmx.ax
You should see a message like "unregistering empgpdmx.ax was successfull". (You can always undo this by calling regsvr32.exe empgpdmx.ax, without the /u parameter).

Just deleting the file will cause playback problems but now, everything works fine.

If anyone could please tell me, if I can still create own graphs somehow, I would appreciate that information.

P.S.: If you have a Radeon HD-Series graphic card, a very good Image can be achieved using the Radeon AVIVO Codecs and fine tuning the settings using Catalyst => Video Settings. I have a sharp, clear image, no de-interlacing artefacts and images are very fluid. The CPU Usage is below 10%.

in older ProgDVB Versions you could use graphedit to create your own graphs ==> which meant, you could select any media file (in our case a transport stream) select the mpeg Splitter, the audio decoder, the video decoder (...and add sound/video-effects etc. if you wanted) and then save that graph and select it in ProgDVB. So you could much more precisely define, which splitter/codec/renderer combination you want to use for certain media types.

Look at this to see what it looks like:

Our change channel problem seems to come from the fact, that ProgDVB selects any MPEG-Splitter available (probably the Elecard MPEG Push Demultiplexer named: empgpdmx.ax). By unregistering/deleting this file ProgDVB will use the next available splitter - but I don't know which one that is.

Hello,

same problem for me, but I solved it with rename the file empgpdmx.ax.
I didn't have to unregister it, because the MPEG-Splitter wasn't registered in my system.

Now everything seem to be OK. No black screen after changing channel. :D

A perfekt Software!

I have also this problem since I started using ProgDVB. Not in all channels, but allways in the same channels.

With my 2 device cards, an "Avermedia volar-x" and "my new Pinnacle Nanostick" the problem is the same.

A comment that perhaps help you, Prog: Curiosly when I change to a channel with this problem and I have the black screen if I open the menu Options and I make clic in "accept" the problem disappears for this channel, not for the other with this problem.

Also if I close the Progdvb and I open again it, if this channel is selected, the problem disappears for this channel, until the next time than I select again changing of channel.

I think is a bug but update after update the problem is not fixed.
I want to say this problem is solved for me since the ProgDVB6.20.5Std version!!!!!!!. Thanks for correct that error!

Since the last versions of ProgDVB (6.25) the problem of sometimes no sound or no picture after changing channels is solved finally!
