I recently started to use again the Progdvb.
i am registered customer and i use the latest ProgDVB pro with a skystar 2 pci.
Concerning the view on the main machine i have minor issues with glitches while viewing but i thing it will be solved with the codecs....

I have major issues with any client i try to use.
I tried to use progdvb free latest version on an other pc as a client (local lan-no firewalls at both ends).
I configured it using a guide i found in your forum.The progdvb client connects and i see traffic using the network traffic utility you have in the configuration of the home server. But i can't see video or listen audio.

After 16 hours (not continuous) i started thinking of using the internet gate . But i have no clue how to configure it.

Is there any HOWTO for iptv server?

The main goal is to use the progdvb server as a media server just to watch sat tv while i am away from home (but with internet available).

ok , i have made some progress..
on my local lan i have the media server pc (windows XP os,with media portal software installed) on which the skystar and the main progdvb program is installed.On that pc, Progdvb runs fine now.

I have a notebook on which i was trying to make the progdvb client to work .
Thats the one i was mentioning on the previus post.On this notebook maybe i have issues with codecs but i have no clue how to check it out.

I have also a pc , with windows 7.it's my gaming rig , but due to the need of trouble shooting i started testing progdvb client on it.On that pc , i also couldn't make the progdvb media client to work , but the iptv client worked.....My only problem to this is that everytime i change channel on the media server i have to retrieve the list.Not a big issue.

I still can't figure out how to make the internet gateway work.
I suppose that i have to enter a userid for the remote (via internet) client to authenticate.I also saw some compresion settings.
The problem is that each time i enter the username -i think i have to set- i get an error.

Do you use local client or over internet?

Internet. i have to find a way to watch 1 specific channel via internet while i am away from home...
