Mpeg header damaged? (maybe an unnecessary question??)

#1
Been thinkig why does the things i record with progdvb struggle to play in vlc and so (noticed that compro dtv 2.7.3.9 make the video file ok) is it so that compro´s software "corrects" the header tried to find any questions about it maybe im blind but i didnt find it while searching the forum i know most video editing softwares read the mpeg file without any problems but if you have recorded like 40-50 music video clips on one day its little bit annoying that vlc gives me an black screen (ok i can set the switch --ffmpeg in the end of vlc link then it plays the video without sound instead) but then i have an annoying stuttering in the video...s

Is this the way it is suppose to be ?

afaik ...depends on the card hardware ...

recordings that i made with my hauppauge Nexus or Hauppauge DVB-C... i can play in VLC or media player classic etc...

this don´t work when i record something with my Technisat Skystar 2 ... after i make postprocessing with pvastrumento or projectx it also plays fine...

Thats life ;)
