Great program!

Hi, I just stumbled across ProgDVB through a forum link, and it's easily the best PC DVB-T software I've tried so far :)

I'm using a ASUS My Cinema-U3000Mini. I tried the included EZVCR, which mostly sucked; I tried a few different PVR softwares - MediaPortal, GB-PVR - but haven't been happy with their media center interfaces.

I installed the 4.x generation v4.85.3; do I need the 'ProgDvbEngine.dll' (Optimized for Intel P4 CPU update) as well?

So thanks for making ProgDVB! Great-looking, small install, with plenty of (visible!) options.

Cheers :D

no , its only better to replace the original one with the p$ update if you have a Intel CPU ...because its optimized for intel cpu´s...

Thanks. I am using a P4 2.4 CPU, so I'll replace the file with the Intel update in the Downloads section for the 4.x generation.

I read about the crashing caused by changing channels... I was watching the Sopranos just now and tried to change to another channel, and ProgDVB froze and became Not Responding in Task Manager.

I've installed the Microsoft patch KB896626, but maybe I have to restart for it to be installed properly, since ProgDVB still has the same problem.

Cheers :)

Maybe I was overly enthusiastic about ProgDVB when I'd found it :?

While I still think it's a great app, it's sooo frustrating not to be able to figure out some technical problems, and the frequent crashing.

If only at least I could get the video to display without interlacing effects, that would be a start. Then try and figure out why it keeps crashing with the quartz.dll...
