Hello Experts,

i use ProgDVB 4.xx.x since a long time an i love it!!
To me the best and stable versions are 4.84.1 and 4.85.3.

Now i tried the Version 5.09 and 5.10.1 but these Versions
unfortunately are not stable at all. I know these are Testversion but i tell you what happend.

I use Relict EPG 0.64b2 and both Versions crashing when i
start EPG. ProgDVB is gone but the sound keep on running.

How can i stop the sound with out restart my PC? I cannot found something in taskmanager.

Any help or hint please and keep going to develope a very good DVB-Program.

I have this problem with another tv-player too.
Tried to restart ProgDVB (and exit it regulary) instead of windows? It worked with the other software...

You forgot to mention your DVB hardware.
An example:
If a DVB application crashes when using a hardware decoding premium card, it's normal, the hardware is not reset then.
But a firmware reload normally will to that, like on restart of ProgDVB. Else you would get a device not available message...

Even for software decoding cards something quite similar may happen, if DirectShow / codec / whatsoever not resetted.

It's printed in copper lines on the board, close to the upper edge.
The PCB revision is the hardware version, too.

PCB is printed circuit board.

However, the card versions are as well available in another nomenclature, by the hauppauge article numbers on the boxes.
But I don't even remember mine right now.
And I don't remember ho to specify those from any outside characteristics, as the site is offline, where I used to look for HW details.
Main difference between 2.1 and 2.2 is the audio DAC, 2.1 comes with a TI chip TLC320AD80C, 2.2 with a Cyrystal CY7C024AV.
Both come with an ALPS tuner BSRU6-502à, the 2.3 has a different one.

You may find more details when looking around for Linux VDR.

However, at least we know you're talking about a Nexus, and (besides of old ProgDVB versions and TT drivers that could not handle the 2.3 tuner) this should not matter fo your problems.
It's a SS1 / premium / FF hardware decoding premium card I was talking about before.
