the latest Program of ProgDVB 6.85.3 did not work on Windows 8 Release Preview 32bit. I Installed the very earler one it work correctly but this version no work. no lunch also.
what I did?
I installed Flash player & All Net Framework 3.51 - 2.00 - ...etc Support on Windows 8
we know all that Windows 8 leave out all Net Framework 3.51 - 2.00
& we know that Progdvb need Net Framework 2.00 at least to work.
Windows 8 know on door. I guess alot of users will use it. but not all of them will support Netframework 3.51 from the Net each time to be able to install ProgDVB.
to the Makers I am waiting a version work on Netframework 4.0 or 4.5
version for Windows 8... when you will make it?

But what message you have? I know some users use ProgDVB in win8 without problems.
try remove ProgDVB.ini file and start with admin rights.

The program did not luch like you never did open it basically ... However, tried to remove the previous version and install this version, but nothing happened. I also install the copy on fresh Windows 8 ...the same resault. no lunching.
Tested in both cases (with or without NET Framework 3.51) but did not open
This is the second edition in the versions 6.X, which did not deal with Windows 8
I hope the producers of prog to do the production version of its intention based on the NET Framework 4.0 and not based solely on the basis that it is ready to deal with Windows 8, is the system coming strongly and we'll see after a while we are forced to leave older versions of Net Frame 3.51. you see that windos 8told us leave up 3.51 & olders.
I also found that the very great compatibility in Windows 7 but not the same show quality in the Windows system 8 .. Tried to change the properties to find a similar show for the display quality in Windows 7 but I have not succeeded in that
Prog needs to be a better show in Windows 8
Question to Mr. Admin: I see it when closed brogdvb needs a long time to close ... Remains suspended and lose response time until it understand that I close ... Can I make it close immediately after clicking on X?

1. ProgDVB not request more then .net 2.0.
2. Quality of video depended from video renderer in ProgDVB settings and of course driver/codec.
3. Please send me ProgDVBEngine.log. It looks like some hardware problem on exit.

I know that it is not request than net.2.0 but that not mean you can not Create version depend on newer versions!
let me tell something Please:
CorelDRAW X4 was maded on net 3.51 for that we could not install it on Windows 8 unless we support the Windows with net 3.51... then Corel Corporations wake up to the matter when it found that Windows 8 will leave out net 3.51 away. now Corel Corp. Lunched Corel Draw X6 depend on net. 4.0 .. it is another problem for the windows 7 users!
the world Broswer also change the product from the old versions to the Chrome one when they found Chrome better secure than the tredent way. they build better Program

you are Creative designers & it is simple to make new ProgDVB 7.x new style - different face... why not??

Version of net it is very different story. It is same if ProgDVB request 100mbyte of ram and you ask use 300. May be that is good idea may be not, but win8 must support that in any case.

In fact, I have tried all similar programs, but the difference between them and ProgDVB very much .this ProgDVB Is the best program in my opinion, for that I note to you & I hope to begin designing a new program entirely different in everything and be focused on quality of Show and ease of dealing with the Channels . Today I installed net Frame Work repairing tool and installed the new progdvb 6.85.4 ..the tool did not work with me... it repair noting.. just put file on desktop. could not treat with it.. the Progdvb worked normally but same "bad pixels in show"
