Does ProgDVB support QuadCore ???

#1
Hi, I want to decode H.264 with ProgDVB 4.85.3 Elecard Edition and
Elecard AVC Plugin.
Everything installed and runs fine here but my processor usage is about 2*100 percentage running on an E6600 (2*2.4Ghz) while watching H. 264 using the elecard avc plugin.

So I want to upgrade my cpu.
Now the question is: Should I buy a E6850 (2*3Ghz) or an QuadCore Q6600 (4*2,4Ghz) ? Does ProgDVB use the 4 cpu units or not? Or better: Does the H.264 plugin work with 4 cpu´s ?

Who has a quad cpu and can tell me ?

I hope we get a reply to this one. I was also considering the same upgrade. One question though, will we have to re-install the OS (in my case Win 2k) if we move from a dual to Quad core processor?

Curious, with my Core2 Duo E6600 2GB DRAM, I got only 70% CPU maximum for DVB-S2 1920x1088 25Hz, 20Mbit/s H264 using Cyberlink PDVD 7 (not ultra) without buffer overflow (except with the H264 HD channel on 23.5E : no video and sound crappy)
I have tested also with the Mainconcept codec, this have similar result. using DVBviewer or TT-MC, for ProgDVB (4.8x or 5.x) I cant get my Diseqc 1.0 4x1 to work : lost signal when changing channel, TP or satellite, the signal goes up only at the Progdvb start.

NOTE : the H.264 HD channel is sending in 1088p, I havent found DVB prog clearing this one, maybe using codec working for BD or HDVD can.
NOTE 2: The Diseqc 1.0 4x1 problem exist only with TT 3200 S2 and ProgDVB (any version), no problem using TT 2300 S but no DVB-S2.
