Unfortunately I already had that set up, and still I can't watch 1080p H164 without desync. I can watch 1080i MPEG2 without desync. Perhaps it's an issue with H264 video? The audio stream is MPG.

Oh, never mind, I got it!
I made logs for 1 minute of each channel.
STAR channel is SD channel and I have no problem watching it.
ERT HD is 1080i channel and I have no problem watching it.
STAR HD channel is 1080p channel and video and audio are seriously desynced.

No important errors in logs. Some small problem with traffic but I think not critical. try change audio renderer and check CPU load.

Audio codec not selected in ProgDVB settings? try set some codec for mpeg audio.

After a lot of testing with both video and audio codecs, I managed to find the culprit: LAVFilter!

To my surprise, although it delivers the best quality, it desyncs FullHD video and audio, while ffdshow and Microsoft DTV-DVD codecs deliver absolute sync!

I use latest LAV version (0.68) and I was really surprised that this was the culprit...
Is it possible that you could check it out so that I could report back to nevcairiel (author of LAV filters) with more technical data?

Section madVR ; 4:3 stay. So, 16:9 not pass.

I located a minor but still NASTY reproduceable bug in ProgDVB Standard Edition x64 7.14.01 under Windows 10 Pro. It is most likely also concerning other Windows versions and professional editions of ProgDVB.

The Setup tool creates startmenu links only in the installing user based startmenu and not in the system-wide startmenu. so if you installing as an administrator for example with the option given in setup that every user has a separat configuration directory, the installer is creating the links still only in the administrators startmenu. other "normal privilegded" users dont see the startmenu links. so progdvb IS NOT COMPLETELY multiuser ready yet because of misplaced startmenu links.

PLEASE FIX THIS ... i am tired of starting progdvb by hand with explorer ... by the way : a fine tool you have made ... i am considering really to upgrade to the professional version very soon!

With latest version I noticed that ProgDVB goes into a crash-loop when I have my soundcard disabled in windows.

I think it used to show an error message and didn't start the tuner in this situation. I don't think that's good either. Not all uses might require sound/soundcard.
