Hey Guys,

I'm from Germany and bought a new TV Card, because my old is PCI and my new Computer has a PCI slot where the old card doesn't fit So I bought a Geniatech SatBox with USB2. Click here for the Box.

There was a version of ProgDVB on the CD. It's a special version for that SatBox. I installed the driver and the software.

My problem now is, that I can not see the prorgamm "ProSieben". That's the only important program for me, I don't need other programms ^^ It is on Astra 19,2°, but if I scan that I only get other programms. The "new" ProSieben is at transponder 107, but I can't get any of them! I can't see the old ProSieben, the new or the ProSieben from Austria / Swiss. Please help me, I don't know what to do? That's everything I tried:

* the standard version of ProgDVB
* latest driver of the SatBox
* latest *.ini file for Astra 19,2°
* MyTheatre

I asked at so much other Boards in Germany, but I can't find a solution! So now I try it here, don't know what to do, if we don't find anything! Then I have to ask directly at geniatech.com. Hope you can help me anyway. With my old TV card everything was ok. I got the programms that I needed with ProgDVB. It was the Hauppauge WinTV NOVA.

What I could try, but don't know how:

* other software (which?)
* alternative USB Box driver (where get from?)
* Hauppauge tv card not correctly deinstalled?

But I think it's a driver problem! Please HELP!

As you do know the new transponder parameters, first try to set them in 'search transponder' menue.

If working this way, close ProgDVB, simply open the 0192.ini in your editor, try to understand the structure and then look for that transponder. If not existing, add at the end, set the entry number properly, correct the transponder count value close to the top, store.

You might also edit a useless entry instead, f.e. of a data only transponder.

Automatically, ProgDVB only scans, what's in the ini file.

BTW, if it's a BDA device, possibly you have to change or add a tuning space entry in the registry as well.

I now also tried to get some channellist, that is correctly configured. There is ProSieben (new), ProSieben (old transponder), ProSieben AUSTRIA, ProSieben SWISS.

ProgDVB shows quality 100% and connection about 62%. Both is green, but I get only black screen without sound. What can I do?

I now have also put my old card in the computer and then I saw, that there where still the driver of it at the hardware manager. So I deinstalled them, but that wasn't the problem It still doesn't work.

Well, as you already have good L and Q, what happens, if you let search that transponder for stations?

If I let search that transponder, I don't get the channels. Only if I use the finished channellist or if I write the frequenz etc. by self then I get a signal, but only black screen and no sound

Are you able to (manually) scan other transponders with good results?

If yes, do any station name entries occur in the search transponder window, on that ProSiebenSat1 Transponder?


BTW, have your (dynamic) channel list grouped by transponder, make all kinds of signals visible, data included.
Is that transponder listed in the channel list now?
If so, details please...

you might even try a total fake, take a useless (data) station, edit transponder related data and all the IDs (find details at satcodx f,.e., for one of the stations wanted.

Point is, we have to find out, if (forcing to) use the proper IDs leads to success or not.


Then, once you are sure to use the correct IDs, precisely, try if these withstand a station update (from channel props).
And also try, it TXT or EPG do work.
If not, PIDs aren't used properly, possible driver issue.
But if those show up fine, it's a codec problem or alike, supposingly...

Sorry, but remote diagnosis attempts require technical / logical details, that have to be precise and exactly on the point.

'I don't get the channels' is far to vague.
Nothing listed after that search, in the station table of that search window?
No signal, or no content, no data at all, or 'just' no decoding, whatever else that you may find...
Sound and vision are the very last issue on a software decoding card, Everything else has to work properly before touching that...

ProgDVB does not play channels
with AC3 pid typical and does not create filters on this channels

Yes I am, I get some channels from other tranponders. And normaly they work. Only if I use a finished channellist with ProSieben added, it doesn't work. I mean, ProSieben doesnt work.
I better try it in German, sorry for other board users :-/

Also ich bekomm Sender rein, wie zB Arte und so, und alle, die beim Scan rein kommen, funktionieren normal auch - vorrausgesetzt sie sind nicht verschlüsselt. Nur, wenn ich eine fertige Channellist nehme, wo ProSieben eingetragen ist, funktioniert es nicht. Also wenn in der Channellist zB Arte drin ist, funktioniert DAS dann schon. Es liegt nicht an der Liste, sondern an den Sendern. Aber anders bekomm ich ProSieben garnicht.

Ich hab dich jetzt so verstanden, dass ich mal einen Sender anlegen soll, vom Typ Daten. Und da dann die Sachen eingeben soll von ProSieben. Also, ProSieben zeigt mir ja an, dass ich Empfang und Qualität hab. Aber ich bekomm nur schwarzes Bild und kein Ton. Aber wenn ich dann auf andere Sender wechsel, klappen die. Zwar nur sehr wenige, aber es gibt welche (Arte, Al Jazeera z.B.).
Bild und Ton sind gut, wenn es denn klappt. Treiberproblem dürfte es doch eigentlich nicht sein, da einige Sender klappen? Oder kann es ein Treiberproblem sein, dass manche Sender klappen und manche nicht? Ist ja nicht wirrkürlich, sondern immer die gleichen, die laufen und die nicht laufen.

Sorry but I can't discribe my problem good in English ... PN? What should I do? Put the TV card into trash? Nobody can help me, only here I can get help but I cannot tell you everything in English ...
