Hi all,
I was wondering whether there is a way to place recording timers in an efficient way in ProgDVB.
By using the internal scheduler it is not possible (please correct me if I am wrong) to set recordings that have to start for example everyday at the same time. You have to place one command for every single day and this can be really annoying if several programs need to be recorded with ProgDVB unattended.
Maybe I am not aware of a good way, can you please tell it to me? Because now the recording scheduler looks not that good for placing repetitive recordings at all.
Thank so much in advance for your kind reply.
Regards,
Sentaro

(For now) you can control ProgDVB from Windows Scheduler.
This allows repetitive tasks.

Thank you.
I have tried the way you suggested.
Unfortunately I get a crash on ProgDVB (6.04.01) start every time it is started from the Windows Scheduler _with a command line switch_ .
If the Windows Scheduler simply launches the .exe without any commandline switch, ProgDVB can be launched.
So at the moment I can:
- 1 Windows Schedule job: Launch ProgDVB
- 2 Windows Schedule job: Set channel and start recording
- 3 Windows Schedule job: Sop recording.
Is my understanding correct? Can you confirm that I have to use 3 jobs to schedule one recording or is there a way to condense all in one job?
Thank you for your patience.
Kind regards,
Sentaro

It's highly recommended, to put each argument (function) into it's own command line. This may in fact require more than one action.
But I must confess, I've never tried things like this on modern Windows AND ProgDVB.

Ok,
thanks again for reply.
As long as a workaround can work I don't care using 2 or 3 windows jobs for one recording.
Scheduling recordings is a very useful function I think. I mean you are away all the weekdays and you can record your favourite series everyday.
Only one thing is missing in my opinion (but it is not related to ProgDVB):
a tool to effectively manage teletext subs in the TS without having to demux, manually cutting video files and manually arranging subs when removing advertising.
Thanks for the good job.
