After I scan my satellite, I get a list of all the channels.
But I want to delete some of them.
For instance. I want to delete channel 123
So on the Channel List, I right click on Channel 123 and choose DELETE.
It is deleted from the list.
However, when I punch 123 on the remote control, the channel still comes up.
Also if I go to channel 122 and press up channel on the remote it still tunes to 123.
Even if I restart ProgDVB after deleteing a channel, the channel can still come up.
How can I permanently delete channels.
(I only use 123 as an example). I have several channels I want to delete permanently/

On scan time the channel information is read from lists the provider are transmitting.
So, basically, there's no way, to avoid getting back the parameters, when scanning a transponder.
You might remove a transponder entry from the transponder file, but then all stations on it would be declared lost on next full scan. No must to have them deleted then. But on any changes on those you would have to update them manually, one by one.
Another 'dirty' trick would be, to manipulate the channel props of the one you don't want, change audio and video to non working or another channel's value and set channel to not update. Will then be listed as lost on a scan, but until you don't allow delete then, it will stay as it is.
Anyway, the best to do is, to create a favourites list, exclude that unwanted station(s) there, hide the dynamic (full) list from the channel list area.
Deleting a list there does not remove it from the channel database or make it inaccessible for rescanning, but just does not allow access on channel switching.
But even then, an unwanted channel might still be accessed from transponder scan results by direct switching.
(Up to now) there's no real child protection implemented in ProgDVB.
It's concept allows the user, to do all he likes, if any possible, including use of plugins we won't discuss here, or f.e. recording crypted signals as they are (.ts), for later 'use'.
So it's intended to allow things, not forbid...
