Hi,

Windows did above mentioned update and it seems, that certain codecs disappeared.
I have sound, but no video, and I get an error message, shown here in a thread at the russian ProgDVB forum.
Taken the info out of the translated russian thread, it seems, that the microsoft codec is missing after the Windows Update.

It still shows in the ProgDVB options, but is actually not there anymore.
If I roll back to the state before the update, everything is fine.
Unfortunately the update installs itself again unasked when I turn the PC off.

Where can I get the right codecs?
I have Kazaa lite installed, but somehow I can change the mpeg2 codec in ProgDVB just to the preset codecs shown in the list.

Your help is appreciated.

I am recommend uninstall KB2670838. I think this update for better sells of windows 8

but you can use any x64 codecs for example FFD.

This MS update is not only a problem for ProgDVB.
