Installation does not work without errors on Vista64:
Error opeing file for writing:
C:\Program Files\ProgDVB\Modules\BDA.Device
I have then to manually delete (or move away) that file and click on "retry" ...
Same problem with
C:\Program Files\ProgDVB\ProgLauncher.exe
btw: I had the same problem with last update!
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#2Please manual close ProgLauncher before installation. May be some problems with rights/UAC.
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#3Oops ... OK, but would be nice to get a warning or the program itself would quit (or the installer would kill them) ...
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#4Installer must automatic to close ProgLaucher.
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#5Can you please fix that! When updating from 7.00 to 7.02.0 the problem is still there – EVEN IF MANUALLY quitting ProgLauncher before! And what is really sucking: if update is once started (and you did not quit ProgLauncher before), you even can't kill ProgLauncher-process by the TaskManager. And also sucking: you cannot give free BDA.Device with Unlocker as there is no handle blocking it. The only solution is to manually move that file (BDA.Device) away manually and retry! btw: that was on XP!
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#6Do you use ProgLauncher from same folder like current installation process?
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#7I don't know ... I never used it. It got installed with the program itself, and I did not touch it ... I then right-clicked onto the tray-icon and deselected "start with windows", so it is not appearing there anymore. But that's only since that update (with problems). I'll see what will happen with next update ...
Re: Installation reports errors when trying to open files ..
#8OK, solution is simple: if problem occurs, go to system tray and exit manually ProgLauncher, then click onto "retry" (and continue installation) ...
