Freq. Recieving Problem

#1
Hi all
I've SkyStar2 DVB card and I'm Using ProgDVB 4.82.4 but when I'm searching Automatically Or manual for TPs I can't recieve 12692 MHz and a lots of other Frequencies !!
It's in in case that my reciever (that uses same Dish And LNB ) can Recieve these Freqs properly !!
Does anyone knows where is the problem & how can I Fix it ???
Thanks you all !!

Do your receiver and DVB card share one LNB cable?
If so, no wonder, as that single LNB port can only have one switch state at a time. Means, no low band and high band on one cable at a time, no vertical and horizontal the same way.
To use two receiving devices independently, you have to use separate LNB ports and cables (TWIN LNB or alike).

But if that's not the problem, look for any systematical symptoms on missing / failing transponders, f.e (exactly) all missing above or below some frequency, or all of one polarisation, or both, or alike.

As usual, we need all details you can get, for any remote diagnosis...

Yes I Use One LNB For Two of those ! But I Connected The "Loop" Port on Reciever To DVB So when the reciever is on standby I use DVB and vice versa !
I can recieve a lot of freqs properly !
I just can't recieve some TPs at all in DVB that I can recieve in reciever !!!
some days ago someone told me to test below or above freqs, I've test it and I recieved 12692 MHz on 12690 MHz unstable for 5-6 hours!!

I tried to change switch freq to 11604 MHz (that someone told me it's correct ) but no change !!!

After that when I click on one of those channels that I recieved in hat 5-6 hours, ProgDVB hangs for 4-5 seconds !! then the level and quality will change from 0 to 30 and loop again (hang , change from 30 to 0...)!!

What is the solution ?? :?: :(
Thanks .

Perhaps there's none...

First of all, connect your SS2 directly, instead of the loop through, and compare.
If things are getting better in any way then, some losses on the loop through would surely be responsible, at least partly.
That loop through contains an amplifier and a splitter for the RF signal, but it also has to pass back the 13/18V DC, 22kHz and in case DiSEqC signals to the LNB.
Each of those may effect the reception, this for I asked to look for any systematical symptoms...
This includes testing all the switching controls, by checking and comparing (known active) transponders on low band vertical, low band horizontal, high band vertical and high band horizontal, f.e.

Also check level and quality on the receiver, compare transponder by transponder.
Generally, STB tuners may be some more sensitive, so if on some transponders the signal would be reasonably low but still well working on the box, this might already be a bit too bad for the SS2.

If you are suffering from weak signals in any way, optimize your dish alignment, including azimuth, elevation, skew, if possible focal distance.
Make sure your dish is big enough related to the transponder group footprints (satellite provider site or lyngsat.com)
Think about cable length versus quality / high frequency loss factor...

However, your problem is NOT a general one, definitely must depend on your hardware configuration or components.

ProgDVB seems to hang for seconds if lost signal, but that's pretty normal, as it won't get any data it needed for fine tuning, transponder specific tables reading and more.
BTW, there's an option to allow 'retune channel if lost signal', play with it.

Sorry, but without any more specific details, that's all I can advise now.
