Hi,
It seems you won't get much help here on a subject as this - it is clear from the posts that ProgDVB does not support CI or encrypted services, neither does it want to go there!

I think you need to be firstly aware that encrypted services are VERY HIGH END!!!!!! A tiny fraction ONLY of the TV ...

Yes I would like to know just the basic errors you had with the card - personally I would have just changed the OS. email is k.miers@woosh.co.nz

I know a lot of people like Win 2k but lets face it you need to change up sometime!! XP is really just an upgrade on Win 2k - no big deal!!

I think your 350mhz is pushing the requirement too far - I have Win XP running with my Telemann and ProgDVB on a 2200+ Athlon with 640 megs of ram and it runs 44 - 52% cpu on the task manager with ProgDVB running on the Telemann data stream. I multi task it a lot but it does stutter from ...

SS1 ProgDVB 4.56.2

Hi,
OK; maybe some progress - I have dumped the 5.12.4 and now start to reload the 4.56.2 - as this is what at least would run before, but not start SS1 card.

Now I see on load that the device box of ProgDVB4.56.2 says SS1 hard mode needs Technotrend x2 driver - this is good info!! I did not see ...

SS1 v2.410 with ProgDVB Latest Version 5.12.4

Hi,

Sorry to report this is another disaster!

On restart computer and load newly installed ProgDVB 5.12.4 =

1. "ProgDVB loading unhandled exception - object reference not set to instance of an object" Why is this??

2. Then "ProgDVB Engine - device not started" maybe ok as device has not been ...

Hi,
Ok fair enough! A very prompt reply from moderators too :-)

I must admit to being quite surprised that the version of ProgDVB I was running 4.56.2 had a problem with my SS1 via settings/start SS1 hard mode device. As my SS1 is running perfect on its own software version which still now is v2.4 ...

Skystar HD Win 2000 problems??????????

Hi

This is very interesting - though I run Win XP and XP/MCE - I have 3 brand new Skystar HD with CI modules for sale here in New Zealand.

So for each sale now I can offer Win XP Cd for user only having Win 2000.

Where is full info link url available to read on the problems with Windows 2000 ...

Technisat SS1 CI + specific support in ProgDVB

Hi, Thank you. I reckon you guy's are pretty good. But I think you could be more thorough.

For example: Many PC users playing with PCI Satellite and PVR are quite capable with their PC registry etc - so don't be scared to tell them EXACTLY what you would do - if the problem was your own!

Hi

I have checked the forum on ProgDVB SS1 CI device error and advice from SiLencer was to select it on load - well even in the latest 5.12.3 its not specifically in the ProgDVB Select card list - IS IT!

Why not? Surely using the correct words rather than call it 'something else' - who cares ...

Skystar 1 CI + device cannot start

Hi All

I think Silencer is right (in this thread) the SS1 device cannot start in ProgDVB because it is already running as a data card!!

But surely it can be stopped. So since no info is offerred here excepting that the ss1 should be selected as the card on loading ProgDVB then that is maybe the ...
