Why vista...

It's still work in progress, (not just) regarding multimedia.
Seems MS are selling pre-beta quality (again), more or less...

However, technically deinterlacing is not a ProgDVB issue, depends on codec (options and settings) and renderer, eventually VGA driver and hardware.
And indirectly on (bugs or benefits of) OS and DirectX.

Thanks. Could you explain what the MainConcept decoder is? Does it pass through any other decoders on my PC?

I still don't know how to get rid of the interlace effect on both the VMRs.

If I change the option to 'By graph file', the image is much better, but the crashes caused by the quartz.dll come back.

Using the 'Video renderer' option (with no overlay) seems to be more stable, but it's darker and the OSD doesn't work with it.

Deinterlacing is an option of a codec, if available.
To get access to a codec's properties, you have to either use sytem control (if installed / available system wide) or open a suitable file in an application, enter (extended) file properties then.
Available settings may vary, can even somehow depend on the application it's used by or taken from.
If using a codec, that's 'borrowed' from another aplication you have installed, best way is to use that host application, to access all available options.

All this is NOT ProgDVB related.

Quartz.dll trouble has been discussed before, and it's a M$ issue.

I understand it's most likely a codec issue. Where do I find the VMR and VMR9 configs, and what are their file names/locations so I can check the versions I have installed?

Cheers.

I have the same problem - the video is not being deinterlaced when using the Elecard MPEG-2 decoder. If I switch to the Cyberlink decoder, it works.

How can I configure the Elecard codec to perform deinterlacing? I'm surprised that it is not working by default, because it is the main/preferred codec!

ProgDVB 5.13.01

Thanks,
Skip.
